Around the AFC East: Week 15
In what many dubbed a Super Bowl preview, the Buffalo Bills handled the Detroit Lions 48-42 on Sunday. Josh Allen strengthened his case to be the NFL MVP when he threw for 362 yards with two touchdowns and ran for 68 yards and two touchdowns. James Cook also had a big day on the ground with 14 carries for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Ty Johnson led the Bills receivers with five catches for 114 yards. The Bills host the New England Patriots in week 16.
Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins offense laid an egg in their 20-12 loss to the Houston Texans. Tua threw for 196 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions in the loss. The Dolphins could not get anything going on the ground in this one either. They totaled just 52 yards on the ground. Miami will look to keep their faint playoff hopes alive when they play the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
The New York Jets ended their four-game losing streak when they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 32-25. Davante Adams had a big day with nine catches for 198 yards and two touchdowns. Aaron Rodgers threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns in the win. He also ran for 45 yards. The Jets take on the Los Angeles Rams this week.
It was a fourth straight loss for the New England Patriots when they fell 30-17 to the Arizona Cardinals. Drake Maye threw for 202 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed for a touchdown. Maye looks like he has a chance to be a really good player. The Patriots just need to get better around him.
