AJ Styles vs. Cody Rhodes Set for WWE Clash at the Castle Title Match

Cody Rhodes got some payback on AJ Styles for last week’s “fake retirement” attack on Friday Night Smackdown.

Nick Aldis, the show’s general manager, prevented Styles and Rhodes from getting into a backstage altercation.

They finally met in the ring and agreed to meet in an “I Quit” match for the WWE title next Saturday at Clash at the Castle in Scotland.

BLOODLINE BATTLE

Paul Heyman anointed Solo Sikoa as the temporary “Head of the Table” in the Bloodline faction. Solo used a chair and got his team disqualified in the main event of Smackdown against Kevin Owens and the Street Profits.

LA Knight scored a win over rising star Carmelo Hayes. Knight is lobbying for a US title match against Logan Paul.

Bayley and Piper Niven talked about their Clash at the Castle match. Piper went over her pre-WWE resume and said she would win the WWE women’s title in front of her fellow Scots.

Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair defeated Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae in a non-title match from their bout in Saudi Arabia.

The super-team of Cargill & Belair will defend the WWE women’s tag team title in a Triple Threat match against tough gals Zoey Stark & Shayna Baszler and spooky duo Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn.

Greyson Waller scored a win over Johnny Gargano after dragging partner Austin Theory into harm’s way. Waller & Theory will defend the WWE tag team belts in Scotland against Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa (#DIY).

Raw will air its go-home show for Clash at the Castle on Monday night from Toledo, Ohio.
