AEW World’s End Preview: Can Jon Moxley Keep the World Title?
Every match will have high stakes as All Elite Wrestling wraps up 2024 with the Worldâs End pay-per-view on Saturday in Orlando, Fla.
Jon Moxley will defend the AEW World title in the main event in a four-way bout. Orange Cassidy, âSwitchbladeâ Jay White, and âHangmanâ Adam Page will be his challengers.
Moxley has the Death Riders behind him, and he is also banking on his opponents getting in each otherâs way.
Cassidy and White have factions backing them up, too, so we could see some intervention from The Conglomeration and The Bang Bang Gang, respectively.
Hangman is a loner, and AEW vice principal Chris Daniels (thatâs the best way to describe his backstage role) pointed this out and advised Page to have someone watching his back.
WOMENâS TITLE BOUTS
Mariah May and Mercedes Mone have been very strong champions. May is the AEW womenâs champion, and Mone has added a lot of prestige to the TBS title.
May will defend against Thunder Rosa in a Tijuana street fight. Mone will take on former TBS champion Kris Statlander.
CONTINENTAL CLASSIC AND MORE
The semifinals and finals of the Continental Classic will take place on this show. The winner will emerge as the Continental champion.
Current titleholder Kazuchika Okada will face Ricochet in one semifinal. Will Ospreay will try to avenge a loss to Kyle Fletcher in the other.
MJF and Adam Cole will wrap up their year-long feud in a battle for the Dynamite Diamond Ring. MJF has won or retained the ring every year since AEW started in 2019.
Konosuke Takeshita will put the AEW International title on the line against Powerhouse Hobbs.
The Zero Hour pre-show will start at 6:30 p.m. Eastern, followed by the pay-per-view at 8 oâclock.
