AEW Full Gear Preview: Orange Cassidy to Challenge World Champion Jon Moxley

Orange Cassidy will challenge Jon Moxley with more than the AEW World title on the line this Saturday night in Newark, N.J.

The main event of the Full Gear pay-per-view will be a battle for the heart and soul of AEW.

Orange is an outstanding wrestler who likes to hang out with his friends and doesn’t take life too seriously.

Moxley is trying to force everyone in AEW into being tougher and more focused on results.

His tactics have worked so far, as Private Party stepped up to the plate and finally won the AEW tag team title.

GRUDGE MATCHES

Bobby Lashley will make his AEW PPV debut against former World champion Swerve Strickland, who offended The Hurt Syndicate by refusing to join them.

Will Ospreay will battle former United Empire teammate Kyle Fletcher, who cost Ospreay the International title at last month’s WrestleDream PPV.

“Switchblade” Jay White beat “Hangman” Adam Page on that show, and they will have a rematch at Full Gear

OTHER MATCHES

MJF has been shooting the “Happy Gilmore” sequel with Adam Sandler. He will return to face Roderick Strong, who won three times to earn this match.

International Champion Konosuke Takeshita will defend his title against the undefeated Ricochet.

Mercedes Mone will put the TBS championship on the line against former champion Kris Statlander.

TNT Champion Jack Perry will defend his belt against Daniel Garcia in a feud that has involved kidnapping and vehicular assault.

Private Party will put their belts on the lines in a four-way bout against House of Black, The Acclaimed, and The Outrunners.

THE COSTCO GUYS?

Wrestling fans online are asking, “Who are these ‘Costco Guys’ that will be on the show?”

Big Boom A.J., a former indie wrestler, will get his big break in the ring when he faces QT Marshall on the Zero Hour pre-show. AJ makes social media videos with his son, Big Justice, who will be in his corner.

These guys are so popular that they appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote the match. The Rizzler, a seven-year-old friend of theirs, will be the guest timekeeper.
