AEW Dynamite: Heroes Band Together to Battle Death Riders
Unlike World Championship Wrestling’s stars, All Elite Wrestling’s top wrestlers aren’t going to allow an outlaw group to take over the company.
“Switchblade” Jay White defeated Pac last night on Dynamite. Pac is a member of Jon Moxley’s Death Riders gang.
White, Orange Cassidy, and “Hangman” Adam Page stood tall in the post-match brawl with Moxley and the Death Riders.
This is big news, considering how WCW wrestlers just allowed the new World order (nWo) to run roughshod over them back in 1996.
CONTINENTAL CLASSIC
Kyle Fletcher defeated Shelton Benjamin the opening bout as part of the Continental Classic tournament. Fletcher now has six points and is in first place in the Blue League.
Claudio Castagnoli is on top of the Gold League after defeating Brody King, avenging a loss from last year’s tournament.
OTHER ACTION
Max Caster’s jacket called him “The Greatest Wrestler Alive.” Swerve Strickland disagreed and defeated him without much trouble.
Anna Jay defeated Penelope Ford. Jay will get a shot at TBS champion Mercedes Mone in two weeks.
Adam Cole must jump through more hoops to get a match with MJF. He and Kyle O’Reilly were the co-winners of the Dynamite Dozen battle royale.
Cole and O’Reilly, who teamed up as Future Shock in Ring Of Honor, will face each other next week on the “Winter Is Coming” episode of Dynamite.
The winner of that match will face MJF for the Dynamite Diamond Ring at the World’s End pay-per-view on Dec. 28. MJF has won the ring in all five years of AEW’s existence.
RAMPAGE, ANYONE?
If you don’t usually watch Rampage on Fridays at 10 p.m. Eastern, you might want to check it out this week. Not only is the show going away soon, but it will feature these three Continental Classic matches:
· Daniel Garcia vs. The Beast Mortos
· Ricochet vs. Komander
· Mark Briscoe vs. Kazuchika Okada
Komander is stepping in for Juice Robinson, who suffered a broken leg in his opening match against Will Ospreay.
