AEW Collision: The Return of “Timeless” Toni Storm

Toni Storm has been a mystery since returning to AEW.

Suddenly, she had no recollection of ever wrestling there, despite her status as a three-time AEW women’s champion.

Storm reverted to her previous “rock chick” persona and acted like a wide-eyed rookie.

Last night on AEW Collision, Storm came face-to-face with Mariah May, the current champion who took Storm’s title after months as her protegee.

May slapped Storm and walked away. Storm said, “What makes you think that I’ve forgotten?”

Storm took off her rocker clothes, revealing the “Timeless” Toni outfit. She said the hardest role to play is yourself, and we just witnessed the performance of a lifetime.

So, Toni didn’t really have amnesia. She was acting! Storm will challenge May for the title next month at Grand Slam in Brisbane, Australia.

TITLE MATCHES

Kazuchika Okada defeated Komander with the Rainmaker lariat to retain the Continental title.

Konosuke Takeshita beat Katsuyori Shibata in the main event to hang onto the International championship.

PROUD PAPA

“Cool Hand” Angelo Parker returned from paternity leave. His wife, Ruby Soho, has not come back to action yet.

Parker teamed with Matt Menard & Daniel Garcia to lose to the Undisputed Kingdom trio of Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong.

Samoa Joe also returned after filming Season 2 of Twisted Metal on Peacock. Joe defeat Nick Wayne after a Muscle Buster.

FALL OF THE HOUSE OF BLACK

Brody King & Buddy Matthews (with Julia Hart) defeated Gates of Agony. The former members of The House of Black are now called The Hounds of Hell.

Big Bill and Powerhouse Hobbs brawled in the parking lot and in the ring. Hobbs finally suplexed Bill through a table.

“The Magical Girl” Yuka Sakazaki won a four-way match over Queen Aminata, Serena Deeb, and Deonna Purrazzo.

As a result, Sakazaki will get a shot at TBS champion Mercedes Mone this Wednesday on Dynamite.
