5 NFL Teams With Hardest Schedule For 2024-25 Season
The 2024-25 NFL schedule is officially released and teams know what their paths will be this season.
It is always interesting to see which teams will enjoy the luxury of an easier schedule while some will be challenged against elite teams week in and week out. Of course, we do not know how each schedule will look during the year but as of now, it is based on strength of teams from last season.
Below, take a look at the five teams with the hardest strength of schedule this season.
5. Houston Texans (.526)
The Houston Texans were the surprise team around the NFL last season. Well, Houston will not sneak up on anyone this year and will certainly be tested. Houston comes in fifth on this list as one of three AFC South teams that finished with a record above .500. The Texans will also face the likes of the Chiefs, Bills, Dolphins, Lions, Cowboys, and Ravens.
4. Green Bay Packers (.526)
The Green Bay Packers went to Dallas last year to win a postseason game as a Wild Card team. This year, the Packers will have to compete in an improved NFC North. This means two matchups against the Detroit Lions and upstart Chicago Bears. Green Bay will also face the Eagles and Rams, not to mention the NFC champion San Francisco 49ers. Jordan Love will have a chance to show what he is really made of in this league.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers (.533)
Russell Wilson is the new quarterback in Pittsburgh. How will this play out? It is impossible to say but we know that Wilson will be tested. In fairness, this is something he knew when he decided to go to the Steelers. There are no weeks off in the AFC North, which is considered the toughest division in the league. The Steelers will play six games against the Ravens, Browns, and Bengals this season.
2. Baltimore Ravens (.536)
It is no surprise that the top three teams on this list are from the AFC North given the nature of the division. The Ravens will play a first-place schedule this season. Aside from the competitive games in division, the Ravens will also take on the Chiefs, Bills, and Texans.
1. Cleveland Browns (.547)
The Browns and Ravens will play a similar schedule, obviously, but Cleveland lands first on this list because it will have to play Baltimore twice. The Browns will go through the AFC North gauntlet, along with playing each second-place finisher in the AFC.
