5 Must-See Games During 2024-25 NFL Season
The full schedule for the 2024-25 NFL season was released on Wednesday.
Fans around the world got a chance to view their teams schedule for the upcoming season. They were also given a chance to study up on which games will be must-see this season. Of course, all NFL games are must-watch but some carry more weight than others.
Below, check out five games that you do not want to miss this season.
5. Week 8: Chicago Bears at Washington Commanders
This might not be a game that you look twice at in a normal scenario. This marks the third consecutive season that the Bears and Commanders meet and the first two were not memorable. This time, the top two picks in the 2024 NFL Draft will square off for the first time. Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels make this an exciting matchup showing off what could be two of the up-and-coming stars in the league.
4. Week 1: New York Jets at San Francisco 49ers
Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets will open the season on Monday Night Football. What could go wrong? This is a chance for Rodgers to avenge last year’s opener, where he suffered a torn Achilles just four snaps into his Jets’ debut. The NFL did not make it easy for New York as it will open on the road against the reigning NFC champion San Francisco 49ers.
3. Week 6: Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys
The most controversial call of the NFL season was a two-pointer that was not as the Detroit Lions faced the Dallas Cowboys. The Lions pulled off an insane two-point conversion play in the fourth quarter but the refs wiped it off claiming that Taylor Decker did not report eligible. There will be plenty of attention surrounding this play on game week but of course, these are also two of the top teams in the NFC. As usual, Dallas will not be without controversy.
2. Week 7: Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers
Super Bowl rematches are rare during the course of the season but there will be a good one this season. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs will travel to San Francisco to play the team they beat in last year’s Super Bowl. Both teams are loaded once again this season. If it is possible, the Chiefs might be a little bit better, especially at wide receiver. This will be one of the games of the year in the NFL.
1. Week 1: Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs
The top two games on this list might be interchangeable but how could you go against a season-opening rematch of the AFC Championship Game? The first Thursday night of the year will feature the Baltimore Ravens traveling to Kansas City to take on the champs. We all remember the defensive struggle that these two teams played back in January that crowned the AFC champion. Now, Baltimore will have a chance at revenge and show that it will be a threat once again. The first NFL game of the season is always a spectacle and the most-anticipated of the year.
