3 Theme Nights The Texas Rangers Should Add

Theme nights are a staple of every Texas Rangers season at Globe Life Field.

From Whataburger night to Star Wars night to the theme nights of the Cowboys, Stars, and Mavs, the Rangers theme night schedule is always widely anticipated.

Sure, infamous Rangers promotions like 10-cent beer night or “hot pants night” won’t return, but some themes could be added.

Before the theme night schedule of 2025 comes out, let’s brainstorm three theme night ideas that the Rangers should consider adding.

1 Christmas in July night/day – This one seems obvious, but the Rangers need a Christmas in July theme.

Imagine Globe Life Field decked out in Christmas decorations for a game while Christmas music plays from the speakers before and during the game.

For a giveaway, a Santa Claus Rangers bobblehead would certainly be a hit, providing fans with a different style of bobblehead that they would crave.

If you wanted to get even more wild with it, you could add Christmas dinner concessions for a change in typical ballpark food.

Some other MLB teams feature Christmas in July so it’s time for the Rangers to hop on board and add this popular day.

2 Disney Day – Why not bring the so-called happiest place on earth right here to Globe Life Field?

Disney Day would be a hit amongst kids and adults alike.

Similar to the Christmas theme, Disney Day should feature some of Disney’s greatest hits playing as ballpark music.

A Mickey Mouse Texas Rangers bobblehead would certainly be a must-have collectible for a fan giveaway.

Any Disney Day must have characters from some of Disney’s iconic films roaming the ballpark alongside Rangers Captain.

Once again, if Texas really wanted to do it up, some of Disney’s popular Mickey Mouse concessions would add a solid twist.

3 One Dollar Tamale night – Speaking of food, who doesn’t love a day where you can get a meal for a dollar?

We know that Dollar Hot Dog Day is a hit at Globe Life Field on every Wednesday home game but why not one dollar tamale night?

Globe Life Field already sells tamales at some of its Spanish-themed concession stands so why not make them a dollar?

Doing so would put the Rangers at the forefront of MLB as being one of the only teams with more than one $1 food item day.
