3 NFL Teams That Could Look to Hire Deion Sanders

Deion Sanders has been one of the most polarizing head coaches in college football over the last two years.

Sanders took a step up when he went from Jackson State to Colorado, bringing Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter with him.

Since then, Sanders has attempted to build back up a Colorado program that was near the bottom of the nation. Could he look to do the same at the NFL level?

Sanders’ son and Hunter will be drafted near the top in the 2025 NFL Draft. If Sanders decides to take the next step once again, here are three NFL teams that could be interested.

3. Chicago Bears

The Bears are an absolute dumpster fire. Caleb Williams has not looked like a franchise quarterback. The offensive coordinator was just fired and Matt Eberflus will be next this offseason. It is time for a fresh start for the Bears and Sanders’ name has to at least be thrown out there to help turn the team around.

2. New York Jets

The Jets are in similar boats as the Bears. If the season continues the way it is for the 3-7 Jets, there will be a new coaching staff leading the way in 2025. Now, the last thing the Jets need is another sideshow on the team but again, this seems on par for the franchise. It would not be surprising to see New York bring in Sanders and let him attempt to make sense of what has happened.

1. Dallas Cowboys

Finally, the team that Sanders has been linked to the most — the Dallas Cowboys. Sanders spent time in Dallas as a player and has a relationship with Jerry Jones. The Cowboys are going to continue to free fall this season. Despite an injury to Dak Prescott, this could be the final go for Mike McCarthy. The team was off the rails prior to the injury anyway. When McCarthy is fired, Sanders might be at the top of the wishlist for Jones.
