3 Best Moves At 2024 NFL Trade Deadline

The NFL trade deadline has passed and many teams made moves to make them better for the second half of the season.

There were many teams looking to improve while others wanted to sell players for draft picks to build for the future.

When looking around the league, these three moves stood out that will help improve teams down the stretch.

Honorable Mention: Kansas City Chiefs acquire DeAndre Hopkins

3. Mike Williams to Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steeler were looking for a pass catcher for weeks. This was a busy time as many wide receivers became available. In the end, the Steelers landed on Mike Williams to pair with George Pickens on the outside.

There was a visible disconnect between Williams and the New York Jets. This made him available at the deadline coming off a torn ACL last season. Once Williams became available, Pittsburgh jumped in and landed the big-body receiver to the offense.

2. Cam Robinson to Minnesota Vikings

The 7-2 Minnesota Vikings suffered a massive blow losing Christian Darrisaw for the season. With a team in the playoff race, it is not ideal to lose an elite left tackle. So what did the front office do? It went out to get a replacement in Cam Robinson. This is not an equivalent when it comes to talent but Robinson is an experience tackle that can step in and start right away. So far so good for Minnesota as it fights for a spot in the NFC playoffs.

1. Marshon Lattimore to Washington Commanders

Arguably the biggest splash of the offseason came from a General Manager that is no stranger to big moves. Adam Peters is in his first year in D.C. and has helped turn the fortunes of a franchise that has not had success in over two decades.

The secondary for Washington has been one negative during a 7-2 start. The Commanders were in desperate need of a cornerback in order to compete with the elite receivers in the conference. Enter Marshon Lattimore, a four-time Pro Bowler who is just 28 years old. This gives Washington a true No. 1 corner and allows others to move down a spot in the order.
