3 Best Fits For Diontae Johnson In 2025

The Baltimore Ravens and Diontae Johnson have had a rocky relationship since coming together.

The two sides agreed to a deal this year but the relationship never worked from the start. Johnson was not effective when he was on the field. He also received a suspension from the team after refusing to enter a game.

That is a major blemish on Johnson’s resume but there might be some teams out there that will take a chance on the 28-year-old receiver.

Washington Commanders

The Commanders continue to be the surprise of the offseason at 9-5 and in the final Wild Card spot in the NFC. Washington has done this with a rookie quarterback and a lack of weapons at receiver outside of Terry McLaurin. The front office did not get Jayden Daniels another weapon at the trade deadline. Could Johnson be the answer opposite McLaurin and his 11 touchdowns? Washington’s new regime is a no-nonsense group so it will be interesting to see if Johnson’s antics in Baltimore were enough to pass.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers remain the favorite to win the NFC South, even without the help of Chris Godwin. He suffered a season-ending leg injury early in the season and it was a major blow to the offense. Baker Mayfield has been able to put up big numbers with Mike Evans back from a hamstring injury. Now, Tampa Bay could be looking for a legitimate weapon across Evans heading into the postseason.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers remain one of the most intriguing teams here. Of course, Johnson spent the first five years of his career there — and they were good ones. This includes a year with 107 catches and over 1,100 yards. Head coach Mike Tomlin knows how to keep his team in line and that was the case with Johnson as well. They did not go after him before he went to Baltimore but would be given a second chance here.
