The Minnesota Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns will face off in the postseason beginning on Saturday. Before the season began, this series would have expected the Suns to be the three seed but injuries have switched roles.

Minnesota enters as the third seed in the Western Conference while Phoenix is No. 6.

This will be one of the most interesting series to watch in the first round.

Can the big three in Phoenix play to potential?

Bradley Beal joined the Suns during the offseason but the group struggled to stay on the floor together. In April, there have been few better teams than the Suns.

Phoenix avoided the play-in tournament by going 10-4 to finish the season and carry great momentum into the postseason. Kevin Durant and Devin Booker are two of the top mid-range players in the game while Beal can get it done at all three levels. The Suns are an unlucky six seed for Minnesota, who saw Anthony Edwards take the next step.

Edwards led the Timberwolves to the third seed in the conference with an MVP-caliber season. The question is, how healthy is Karl-Anthony Towns?

The big man missed 18 games with a torn meniscus. Towns has played just two games since March 4. Before the injury, Towns he was shooting 41% from three-point range. At full strength, he is a difficult cover because of his range. The postseason is a different animal and Towns will be asked to do much more.
